This is a Wonderbolts pendant I made just now. It was very much a spur of the moment thing, so I just used whatever materials I had to hand. Random crafts!
It's made out of an old CD (which was much easier to cut than I was led to believe), so it's nice and sturdy, but still a bit sharp around the edges. Luckily, as I thought, the paint has dulled that a good bit, as did some sandpapering (couldn't find a file). It measures about 2" wide and 1.5" long.
I used metallic acrylic paints, 3 coats of silver all over, then 2 of gold. I decided not to go with the white wings, partially to keep the metal theme going, but also because I couldn't find my white paint
The black detail and bordering, I'm ashamed to say, is from a Sharpie, because I couldn't find ANY paint other than my metallics. The end result looks about the same though. I did not use good brushes, so the texture is far from even. But I kinda like it imperfect. It's just for me, anyway.
Kind of an IRL tie in with what I have Spitfire wearing in this [link]
I probably do one properly in the future. But like I said, the moment had me. And for 2 hours work (most of that watching paint dry), I'm very happy with how it turned out.
